Description
No 6 The Green is a house dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the 20th century. It is constructed of coursed ironstone rubble and features a 20th-century tiled roof that extends from No 7 across the front hip, with asbestos tiles on the right return of the roof. The house has a stone-coped gable at the far end and a brick chimney situated between the front bays.
The building is two storeys high and has three to four bays, positioned end-on to the green. The former gabled end facing the green has ovolo-moulded mullion windows made of Ketton stone, featuring four-light casements with a cornice on the ground floor and three-light casements above. The right return displays altered fenestration, with irregular 20th-century wooden casements, including ground floor windows with concrete sills and lintels. There is also a 19th-century three-light casement with horizontal glazing bars located on the first floor of the third bay.
The central entrance features a 20th-century door set within a four-centred moulded stone arch that has a moulded cornice above it. Additionally, there is a 20th-century board door with a stone lintel located at the far bay.
