Description
No 7 The Green is a house from the mid to late 18th century, constructed in two phases, with the left half built later than the right. The building is made of coursed ironstone rubble, with the left bay featuring better-dressed brown Uppingham stone quoins. It has a 20th-century concrete tile roof, with a coped gable on the left side that includes an ogee moulded kneeler, and brick chimneys located on the left and left of center.
The house is two storeys high and consists of two bays. The left bay has 20th-century wooden casement windows that are three-light with stone sills, while the right bay has irregularly placed two-light windows with concrete sills. There is a central 20th-century door. The ground floor openings are topped with stone lintels that have keyblocks, although the right side is simpler in design. The right bay also shows signs of former window openings that had pale limestone surrounds. Attached to the left gable is a single-storey range of outbuildings that curves around the corner of The Green and Main Street.
