Description

Number 47 Aldgate is a cottage built in the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble and features a Collyweston stone slate roof with moulded stone stacks at each end. The building has two storeys and a two-window range, with a central entrance that is accessed through a 20th-century porch. The windows are two-light casements with glazing bars and cills, set beneath lintels that have flush keystones. There is a one-storey extension to the east, which has a coped east gable.
