Description

This is a late 19th-century house, dated 1851 with the initials "N over T S" carved into the south gable. The front facade is constructed of ashlar stone, while the remaining walls are of squared rubble. It has a slate roof and ashlar chimney stacks. The design is in the style of the 18th century.

The house is two storeys high with a three-window front, arranged as a double-fronted design. It features quoins (decorative corner stones), an eaves cornice (a decorative moulding at the roofline), and a stringcourse (a horizontal band) between the ground and first floors. The windows are 12-pane sash windows, each with a lugged architrave (a decorative frame) and cills (the lower edge of the window). The front door is panelled and has a rectangular fanlight above, set within a plain, moulded architrave and topped by a hood band supported on brackets.

A two- and three-storey range extends to the rear of the property, containing workshops on the ground floor. The upper floors feature horizontally sliding sash windows with glazing bars.
