Description
The footbridge over the River Trent, located in Nottingham, is a suspension bridge built in 1906. It is constructed from ashlar and steel. The bridge features a panelled pylon with a battered plinth and a round arch, supporting a steel lattice deck that is suspended from steel cables. There is an approach ramp that includes two round flood arches and a steel railing. In addition to providing a footway, the bridge also carries a water main and other services. The eastern end of the bridge is situated in the Rushcliffe district.
