Description

Old Trent Bridge Flood Arches are flood arches dating from the 13th, 14th, and 15th centuries, with restorations from the 19th and 20th centuries. They are constructed from dressed stone and brick. On the west side, there are two segmental arches; the left arch is double chamfered and features the remains of a hood mould, along with a pointed central cutwater. The east side has two chamfered semi-circular arches, each with chamfered hood moulds. The structure is also recognized as a Scheduled Ancient Monument, listed as County List No. 30.
