Description

The ornamental pond, located in the Memorial Gardens on Victoria Embankment, was constructed around 1927, likely designed by T Wallis Gordon, the City Engineer. It complements the municipal war memorial. The pond is shaped like a lobed cross and features reconstituted stone edging. It is approximately 50 meters long and includes three water jets. The pond is included in the listing for its group value.
