Description

Hunters' Farm is a farmhouse, now a house, dating from the 17th century and 1724, with a 19th-century addition and mid-20th-century alterations. It was restored around 1988. The building features timber framing and brick, mostly rendered and painted, with a steeply pitched plain tile roof and brick coped gables. There is a renewed off-centre ridge stack and a first-floor band. The structure has two storeys and a three-window range, following a lobby entry plan with two parallel rear wings. All windows are late 20th-century glazing bar casements. The street front has a central four-light window flanked by three-light windows, with three similar windows above. The left gable has a similar window, and the date 1724 is displayed in pale headers. At the rear, there is a renewed door and window.

Inside, the building contains internal bay posts with arch braces, stud partitions, and chamfered spine beams, as well as an inglenook fireplace. On the first floor, there is a stud partition, roof trusses with collar and tie beams, purlins, and a double wall plate. Some early 18th-century panelled doors and a 17th-century door are present, along with a 19th-century wooden staircase.
