Stable block, now a garden centre. 1781, altered late C20. Designed by William Henderson of Loughborough and built by Samuel Stretton. Red brick, with ashlar dressings and hipped slate roof with 2 ridge stacks. Rendered plinth, impost band, ashlar and brick dentillated eaves. 2 storeys; 5 window range. Original openings have rubbed brick heads and surrounds. Projecting central entrance bay with pediment containing a round window. Elliptical arched carriage opening with wooden double gates. Above, a rectangular blank flanked by round blanks. Beyond, on each side, 2 round arches, blank to right. To left, an inserted door and 2 glazing bar windows. Above, to right, 2 original shallow casements. To left, 2 plain sashes. Irregular rear ranges, mostly reglazed. A former ancillary building to Wilford House (qv).
