Description

The remains of a garden stairway at Clifton Hall date from the 18th century. Originally, it was a double-curved stairway featuring a balustrade, vases, and statuary, as noted by Pevsner. What is left today includes an undercroft measuring 3 by 2 bays, characterized by rendered brick elliptical vaults and small side rooms.
