Pair of houses with attic workshops, now vacant. c1830. Damaged by fire late C20. Red brick with stucco dressings and slate roof with clerestory windows and 2 gable stacks. Windows, boarded at time of survey, have wedge lintels with double keystones on the lower floors, and brick flat arches above. 3 storeys plus attics; 4 window range. In the centre, a passage entrance, with elliptical brick arch. To its left, a door with wedge lintel and keystone, then a window. To right, 2 windows. Above, 4 windows on each floor. Clerestory has continuous glazing. This building represents a transitional stage in the lace industry between domestic and purpose-built industrial buildings.
