Description
High Pavement Unitarian Chapel is a former warehouse, now serving as a Unitarian chapel, built in 1879 by W Knight of Nottingham for W Tidmas. The building is constructed of red brick, featuring ashlar and terracotta dressings, and has a slate roof with gable stacks. It is designed in the Italianate style, showcasing a plinth, a ground floor sill band, string courses, and elaborate terracotta detailing at the eaves. The windows are primarily iron-framed casements, with the main floors displaying segment-arched openings that include keystones. The chapel stands three storeys tall, plus attics, and has a six-window range. The ground floor features a continuous ashlar band that forms the heads of the openings, with a double doorway to the right flanked by a square pier and five windows to the left. Above, there are six windows on each floor, with ashlar heads on the first floor and brick heads above. The attic contains six flat-headed windows.
