Description
31 High Pavement is a house that has been converted into offices, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of red brick, featuring ashlar and stucco dressings, and has a hipped slate roof with two brick ridge stacks. The building has a plinth and a first-floor sill band, along with a stucco and wood eaves cornice. It stands four storeys tall, plus a basement, and has a window arrangement of three by seven. The windows are original glazing bar sashes with brick flat arches. The main façade displays three 12-pane sashes on each floor. The right corner of the building is segmentally curved, featuring a sash window on the first floor and blank spaces on the others. The right side of the building has a single bay on the left, with a sash window on each floor. To the right, there is regular fenestration at a different level, with six windows on each floor. In the fifth bay, there is a beaded panelled double door with an overlight.
