Description
Nos 58 and 60 on New Walk are early 19th-century buildings with a stucco finish. They feature a parapet and a cornice, topped with a slate roof that has gabled ends. The buildings rise three storeys and have three windows. The centre section projects slightly forward and includes blind windows. The windows are sashes without glazing bars and have sills. On the first floor to the right, there is a late 19th-century splayed bay with a heavy cornice. The central entrance porch has a Doric entablature supported by square columns and features two heavy panelled doors with rectangular fanlights. These buildings are listed for their group value, as they contribute to the architectural character of the surrounding area, which includes Nos 58 to 64 (even), No 47, New Walk Museum, and Nos 1, 3, and 5 Museum Square, among others.
