Description

The Firs is a small detached mansion built in 1829, designed in the "Papworth" style and finished in stucco. It has two storeys and features four sash windows with glazing bars, including a two-window bow in the center that spans both storeys. There are bands at the sills, and the building is topped with an old slate hipped roof that has wide eaves soffits. Two of the ground floor windows have modern glazing. On the side, there is an open porch supported by square panelled columns and topped with a heavy entablature. Additionally, a three-window wing has been added to the structure.
