Description

A pair of firemen's houses dating from 1925 to 1927, designed by A. E. and T. Sawday. The houses are constructed of red brick, with parts rendered, and feature plain tile hipped roofs and three ridge stacks. They include a brick plinth, quoins, and an eaves band with corner brackets. The two-storey building has a four-window front. The recessed central section has two two-light casements with glazing bars on the ground floor, and two smaller, similar casements above. The projecting side wings each have a single three-light casement with glazing bars, with a smaller two-light casement above. These houses were originally built as part of the accommodation provided for personnel at Leicester Fire Station.
