Description
The tunnel ventilation shaft located to the northeast of 12 Holmwood Drive is a Grade II listed structure built between 1830 and 1832 for the former Swannington to Leicester Railway line. It was designed by Robert Stephenson and features burnt blue engineering brick with common brick repairs and ashlar coping. The shaft is slightly tapering and stands about 2 metres high. Please note that number 12 Holmwood Drive is not included in this listing.
