Description

No 10 on St Mary's Gate is an early 19th-century building, with its core likely dating back to the 17th century. It features engraved stucco and has two storeys plus an attic. The façade includes one three-light casement window and a plain doorway with a four-panelled door. There is also one dormer with plain casements that do not have glazing bars. A band runs along the first storey, and the eaves are plain, topped with tiles. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 10, 11, and 11A, the former Rural District Council Offices, No 18, Country Hall, the forecourt wall, gate piers, gates, and railings of County Hall and the Police Station.
