Description

This is a late 17th or early 18th century building, originally comprising seven bays. The exterior is cement-rendered and features two storeys. It has seven sash windows, each with good, moulded stone architraves featuring a distinctive dog-eared detail and moulded keyblocks. Rusticated quoins are present, along with a good moulded cornice that projects forward over the quoins and also over the central window. Above the central window is a moulded bracket. The gable ends are stone-coped and finished with ball finials. The original staircase is located within number 43. Modern shop fronts have been introduced, as has a modern tile roof. Nos 41 to 55 (odd) form a group.
