Description

The Statue of M.T. Bass is a conventional standing bronze sculpture created by J.E. Boehm, set on a stone pedestal and base. It was erected in 1885 to honor M.T. Bass, a local benefactor and Member of Parliament for Derby from 1848 to 1883. The statue, along with Nos 6, 8, and 10, and the Central Library, forms a group with No 1 Strand.
