Description
Nos. 1 to 11 Leeds Place is a group of railway workers' accommodation built in 1842, designed by architect Francis Thompson. The buildings consist of two short, red-brick, two-storey terraces that face each other. Originally constructed as cottages, Nos. 1, 2, 3, and 4 were later converted into the Midland Railway Ticket Printing Office. The ground floor features two shop fronts with simple cornice pilasters and central doors, as well as windows with glazing bars. There is a passage between Nos. 4 and 5, and the first floor retains four sash windows with glazing bars.
Nos. 5 to 11 each have one window, which are also sashes with glazing bars. The doors and windows are topped with gauged red-brick arches.
