Description
The Brunswick Inn, originally railway workers’ accommodation, dates from the early to mid-19th century. The building is constructed of red brick, with some areas painted, and extends over two storeys. It features seven sash windows, one of which is blocked. The ground floor has two plain doorways, one converted into a window and now boarded over. The building has moulded stone eaves and a slate roof. A sharp-angled return section with three windows is visible on the side, facing Calvert Street, which has four sash windows plus two blocked windows. The building was disused when inspected in 1974.
