Description
Nos. 87 to 93 on Northgate is an early 19th-century terrace consisting of three storeys and a sunk basement. Each house typically has two windows, except for No. 93, which has three. The buildings are constructed of red brick and feature a low-pitched roof made of stone slates. No. 89 is notable for its three small pedimented dormers. The terrace has a moulded wood eaves cornice and tall brick ridge stacks. The sash windows, some of which have been replaced, include glazing bars, stone cills, and soldier arches. Each house has a six-panel door with a reeded head and an arcaded oblong fanlight, set in wooden doorcases that feature reeded architraves, patterned friezes, narrow bracketed cornices, and pediments. It is worth noting that No. 93 has had its ground floor windows altered and the pediment removed.
