Description
No 9 Market Place is a house that has been converted into offices. It dates from the early 19th century and has undergone some alterations in the 20th century. The building is constructed of pebbledashed brick with stone dressings and features a slate roof. It stands three storeys tall and has three bays. The ground floor has a 20th-century shop front that is not of special interest. Above this, there are three 20th-century sash windows with glazing bars, and on the second floor, there are 20th-century unequally-hung 9-pane sashes. All the sash windows are in their original openings and have stone sills, flat arches with incised voussoirs, and dropped fluted keystones. The building also has a moulded gutter and a shallow pitched roof without any stacks.
