Description
This cart shed and granary, located approximately 5 metres north of Ball Park Farmhouse, likely dates from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is constructed of coursed squared sandstone and features a stone slate roof. The building has a rectangular three-bay plan and stands two storeys high. The ground floor includes an open arcade with segmental arches supported by square piers, and there are two square pitching doors above. The left (south) gable wall has an external flight of steps leading to a loft doorway. Inside, the first floor granary has a boarded floor and features two kingpost roof trusses with fishbone struts.
