Description

This is a horse trough located approximately 30 metres north of the junction with St Chad's Drive in Headingley, Leeds. It dates from the mid-19th century and was made by R Asquith and Co. The trough is constructed from cast iron and measures about 2 metres in length, divided into two equal sections with segmental ends. The maker's name is displayed in relief on the southern end panel. There is also an added grille or screen on the western side.
