Description

Victoria Terrace comprises a row of eight mid-19th century houses with attached walls and gates. The houses are constructed of ashlar and have low-pitched slate roofs with hipped ends. They have two storeys and attics, with 15 first-floor windows in total. Each house features a four-panel door, the upper two panels glazed, set within a moulded stone surround and topped with a segmental-arched overlight, supported by deep shaped brackets and a cornice. The windows are round-arched, with paired windows on the ground floor and a single light paired with another on the first floor of each house. A band runs along the first-floor level, and a moulded stone cornice sits above. Tall corniced six-flue stacks are positioned on the ridge between the houses. The interior has not been inspected. A boundary wall is attached to the southwest corner and runs along the road for approximately 25 metres, standing roughly 1.5 metres high and curved. It has roll-moulded coping, pierced by two sets of pedestrian gateways with square piers topped with a modillion cornice and pyramidal capstones.
