Description
Clairville is a house built in the early 19th century, constructed from punch-dressed stone with a Welsh slate roof. It features a two-cell central-entry plan and stands two storeys tall with a symmetrical three-bay facade. The entrance is accessed by a short flight of three stone steps and has an architrave, frieze, and a cornice with a casement moulding, along with a six-panel door that includes a glazed overlight. The flanking bays contain windows with wedge-shaped lintels that have been painted, and they feature projecting sills that hold 16-pane sash windows, with a smaller 12-pane sash window positioned above the door. The house has coped gables with kneelers and ashlar stacks. It is included in the listing for its group value.
