Description
Beaulieu Cottage is a house that was built in 1771, as indicated by the initials and date on the building. It is constructed from punch-dressed stone and features a Welsh blue-slate roof. The house has a two-cell plan and stands two storeys high, with two windows on the first floor. The corners of the building are marked by ashlar quoins.
The central doorway has a raised surround and an overlight, with a date plaque positioned above it. To the left of the doorway is a tall, narrow window with a similar raised surround above, while to the right is a larger rectangular window, also with a raised surround above. All window openings have plain stone surrounds, and the windows themselves are fitted with 20th-century small-pane casements.
The right gable features a coped design with kneelers and an ashlar stack, while there is another stack on the left gable. The rear of the building is mostly blind, except for a doorway on the right with a deep lintel and a small window above it. The right-hand return, which faces the street, has a window at the right end with a raised surround and a similar design above.
