Description

Lee Lane Farmhouse is a farmhouse with an attached cottage, dating from the mid to late 18th century, with the cottage being an early addition. The building is constructed of coursed squared sandstone and features very large quoins, topped with a stone slate roof. The original house consists of two units and has an added rear outshut, while the cottage at the right-hand end is a single unit.

Both the farmhouse and the cottage are two storeys tall. The farmhouse has a doorway that is offset to the right of the centre, which is blocked, and there is a doorway that has been inserted in the window to the left. The farmhouse also features two three-light windows on each floor, all with flat-faced flush mullions and plain surrounds. The cottage has a quoined vertical joint on the right side, with a doorway next to it and one window on each floor. The upper window has four lights, while the lower window, which was likely similar, now has two square lights, both with flat-faced flush mullions and plain surrounds.

There is a chimney on the ridge at the junction of the farmhouse and cottage, as well as chimneys at both gables, all of which are corniced. The gable coping includes kneelers. At the rear, which faces the road, there is an added outshut to the farmhouse with a catslide roof, along with a door and windows for the cottage.
