Description

This is a monumental Hird slab located approximately 1 metre from the second bay of the aisle of the Church of St. Peter. It commemorates Nathaniel Hird, who died in 1747, and his wife Elizabeth, who died in 1749. The slab is made of sandstone and features a moulded surround with scrolled corners. It includes a raised decorated initial "H" and raised, decorated dates set in sunk panels.
