Description
The Lodge to Armley Cemetery is a cemetery lodge built in 1886, likely designed by J Pritchett. It is constructed from coursed gritstone and features a slate roof in the Gothic Revival style. This large two-storey building has a five-bay gabled range with two projecting gabled bays on the south side. The facade facing the road includes a gabled porch with a boarded door that has scrolled hinges and a pointed arch. There is a canted bay window with cusped and transom lights, and a two-light window in the same style above the gable. To the left, there is a three-light window. On the left side, the gabled wings feature a four-light window on the left, and there is an external chimney with an ornate twisted stack on the right, as well as a similar stack on the left return of the left bay and on the ridge. The interior has not been inspected.
