Description
The gate piers, gates, and railings located approximately 25 meters southwest of Hilly Ridge House were built around 1839. They feature ashlar piers and wrought-iron gates and railings. The square piers stand about 2.5 meters high, with an overall length of approximately 15 meters. The piers are slightly tapered and topped with pedimented caps. The gates and railings are adorned with large spearhead finials and X-braces that include a central flower motif on the two-leaf gates. The railings are complemented by a low ashlar wall made of two courses, which has roll-moulded coping and a moulded central standard.
