Description
This building is a barn and attached stables, dating from the mid to late 18th century, located approximately 10 meters east of Wike Manor. It is constructed from banner-dressed stone and features a stone slate roof. The structure has an L-shaped plan that forms two sides of a courtyard alongside the house and dovecote.
The barn consists of seven bays and includes a segmental-arched cart entry in the fifth bay, which is adorned with ashlar voussoirs, skewbacks, and composite jambs. There are windows with lintels and projecting sills on either side of the cart entry. To the left, there is a mistal doorway (now blocked) with tie-stone jambs. The stable block projects forward to the right and is two storeys high, featuring six first-floor windows. The windows have lintels and sills, flanking doorways that have deep lintels and stable doors. The right end of the stables has a hipped roof. Inside, the barn boasts a fish-bone king-post roof.
