Description

This is a late 18th-century house located on High Street, Boston Spa. The house is constructed from ashlar magnesian limestone with a Welsh slate roof. It is two storeys high and comprises three bays. The central bay features a three-panelled door with a four-pane overlight set beneath a flat arch. The window to the left bay is a sixteen-pane sash with a projecting stone sill and flat arch. The right bay has a canted, single-story bay window with a projecting stone sill, casement windows with glazing bars, and a wooden cornice. To the right of the bay window is a boarded side-passage door featuring a fanlight with radial glazing bars beneath a round arch. On the first floor, a sill band links the sashes, with the central window being narrower. The house has stone end stacks, with the stack on the right being shared with the adjacent property, The Admiral Hawke.
