Description

Numbers 1, 2, and 3 The Terrace, which includes the kitchen annexe of Beechfield, is a row of three houses likely built in the late 18th century and altered in the 19th century. The exterior features pebble-dashed magnesian limestone, with the walling of No 3 exposed, and a Welsh slate roof. The buildings are two storeys high with three windows each on the first floor.

No 1, on the left, has a central six-panel door with an overlight that includes radial glazing bars, set in a wooden doorcase with a bracketed canopy. It is flanked by sash windows with glazing bars and projecting stone sills, with matching windows on the first floor. No 2 is similar but lacks a doorcase, has a taller overlight, and an additional sash window on the ground floor to the right. No 3, on the right, features a doorway like No 1, flanked by sash windows. The first-floor openings are set within two-order round-arched recesses, and to the right on the ground floor, there is a large 24-pane sash window beneath a six-pane sash.

The row is topped with two cement-rendered ridge stacks, four yellow-brick ridge stacks, and a brick end stack on the right. The right end bay serves as the kitchen annexe to Beechfield.
