Description

Rosemary Cottage is a house dating to around 1800, and it has been altered since its original construction. It is built of coursed, squared magnesian limestone, with a Welsh slate roof. The house is three storeys high and originally had two bays, although a later lean-to addition has been built onto the left return. The ground floor openings have been altered; the left side now has a sash window with glazing bars under a wedge lintel, while the right side features a 20th-century canted bay window with a hipped roof that obscures a flat relieving arch. The first floor has a sash window with glazing bars, and a 16-pane sash window beneath a wedge lintel. The second floor windows are smaller and similar to those on the first floor, set beneath a moulded stone eaves cornice. The property is included on the list for its group value.
