Description
The Packhorse Bridge over Meanwood Beck is an early 18th-century structure, with late 18th-century abutments. It is constructed from coursed rubble with dressed stone dressings. The bridge features a single round arch made of rubble stone voussoirs, a low dressed stone parapet, and a cobbled stone surface. There is a canted dressed stone abutment on the south-west side. This bridge is a rare example of a pack-horse bridge located in a suburban area.
