Description
This is a pair of houses located at 218 and 218A Harrogate Road, built in the early 19th century. They are constructed from coursed squared gritstone and feature a slate roof. The buildings are two storeys high and have two first-floor windows. Part of No. 218A includes a ground-floor window that likely belongs to a block projecting at a right angle to the left. The entrances are paired on the left side and have panelled doors with fanlights above. The windows on the right side have glazing bars and are set in a recessed surround that includes a keystone and impost blocks. The sashes have glazing bars, and there is a wedge lintel above the ground-floor window, along with a continuous sill band at the first floor. There is an end stack on the right side and another at the rear of the ridge on the left. The interior has not been inspected.
