Description
This is a single-aisled barn located approximately 30 metres north-east of Tyersal Hall, likely built in the early 18th century. It features thin covered rubble with a stone slate roof and consists of five bays. The barn has dressed quoins and the north elevation faces the lane, showcasing a tall cart-entry flanked by square windows beneath the eaves at both ends. The rear side faces a courtyard and includes an aisle with a pent porch set in the third bay, which has a quoined angle, along with a mistal doorway situated in the re-entrant angle. There are extensions attached to the fourth and fifth bays. The interior has not been inspected, but it may contain an earlier roof, as Tyersal Hall nearby has remnants of earlier timber framing.
