Description
33 Ilkley Road is a late 17th-century stone-built dwelling house with a stone slate roof, standing two storeys tall. The front features five windows, which have splayed jambs and heads; these windows are notably large for their period, and there is no indication of former mullions or transoms. Currently, the openings are fitted with sash frame windows. The original doorway has been replaced with a later version that includes a panelled stone surround, and the door itself has six panels and a rectangular fanlight above. The rear of the house exhibits a later architectural style, and the interior likely reflects an 18th-century character. The property has recently been repointed and cleaned. This building, along with Nos 1 to 43 (odd) and the leather warehouse, forms a group.
