Description
The Dumb Steeple, located 100 yards east of Dumb Steeple Farm, is a solid, squat, circular tower that tapers upwards. It was built in 1766 and is constructed from coursed rubble. The tower features a plinth and two string courses, culminating in a conical top that is surmounted by a round finial, which is currently detached. A plaque set in a stone surround states: "Rebuilt By: Richd: : H: Beau: mont Esqr 1766."
