Description

Briars Cottage, located at the Top of the Hill on Thurstonland Bank Road, is a building that dates from the late 18th century to early 19th century. Originally two houses that were handed, it is constructed from hammer dressed stone and features a stone slate roof. The cottage is two storeys high and has two central doors, with one of them currently blocked. On the ground floor, there is a three-light stone mullioned window to the left and a two-light stone mullioned window to the right. Each dwelling on the first floor has one four-light stone mullioned window. The rear elevation is rendered, and there is a single-storey extension to the south that lacks architectural interest.
