Description
Nos. 6 and 8, The Village, are two cottages from the early 19th century, constructed from hammer-dressed stone and topped with a stone slate roof featuring a central ashlar stack. The buildings are two storeys high. There is a near-central doorway with a deep lintel. To the left of the doorway, there are two 2-light windows, one of which has a double chamfered design with the mullion removed. On the right side, there is a 3-light window that has had a recent additional light added. On the first floor, there was originally a 7-light window, but three lights have been blocked, resulting in two 2-light windows. Similarly, a former 8-light window has had two lights blocked, now presenting two 3-light windows. These cottages are part of a group of buildings.
