Description
Hollow Gate is a terrace of four houses built in the early 19th century. The buildings are constructed from hammer-dressed stone and feature a stone slate roof. They are two storeys high. Nos. 2 and 3 have been significantly altered but maintain their handed layout, with modified ground floors and two three-light stone mullioned windows on the first floor, although the mullions have been removed. No. 4 remains intact, featuring a central door, one three-light stone mullioned window, and one two-light stone mullioned window on the ground floor, along with a four-light and a three-light stone mullioned window on the first floor. No. 1 has a central door flanked by a three-light stone mullioned window on each side. On the first floor, there are three two-light stone mullioned windows, which may have been part of a former ten- or eleven-light window.
