Description

No 2 (Top of the Hill) is a house located on Thurstonland Bank Road, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed from hammer-dressed stone and features a stone slate roof. The building has three storeys. The south elevation includes a three-light stone mullioned window and an entrance at ground level. The first floor has one three-light window and one single-light window. Originally, the second floor had a continuous nine-light window, but it has been altered to a four-light window, with some of the remaining lights blocked. On the west side, there is a later three-storey extension that lacks architectural interest.
