Description

Nos 12, 14, 16, 18, and 20 Holt Lane are houses with underdwellings, built in the early to mid 19th century. They are constructed from hammer-dressed stone and feature a stone slate roof with gable copings and stone brackets. The buildings are three and four storeys high.

On the north-west elevation, which includes Nos 18 and 20, there is a terraced frontage with an entrance and a 2-light window on the ground floor. Each dwelling likely had a former 6-light window on the first floor, which now has the centre 2 lights blocked, and the second floor originally mirrored the first but now features two single lights for each dwelling.

The south-east elevation, which includes Nos 12 to 16, has a handed design with entrances on both the left and right sides, accompanied by two 2-light windows. Each of the first, second, and third floors originally contained one 6-light stone mullioned window per dwelling with a raised sill, but several lights are now blocked.
