Description

Beech House is a large, detached house dating from the mid-19th century. It has an ashlar facade, featuring a plinth and a moulded string course. The roof is covered in slate and has a heavily moulded eaves cornice. The symmetrical front facade is three bays wide, with the central bay projecting slightly. A slender, open porch is centrally positioned, incorporating a frieze, cornice, and blocking course that connects with the string course. The porch has round-arched openings with keystones, supported by square columns with sunk panel decoration to both the columns and spandrels. The front door is panelled and has a semi-circular fanlight. The windows are sash windows with architrave surrounds. Ground floor square bay windows are present on the left and right elevations. The rear of the property is constructed of hammer-dressed stone.
