Description
The privies located to the southwest of Choppards Church Sunday School are a former outside privy and ashpit, dating from the mid-19th century. They are constructed from hammer-dressed stone and do not have a roof. The structure features a small gabled design, with a gable front facing the road. It has paired low arched doorways that lead to the ashpits, and above these doorways are two square stones with a circular hole cut into them. To the left of the privies is an unattached coalhouse, while to the right, a flight of stone steps leads to the upper level, which has separate doorways for boys and girls to access the privy. The privy retains its original double seat, supported by a stone flag at the front. This building is included for its group value with the listed Church Sunday School to the north.
