Description
The Chapel at Cleckheaton Cemetery is a cemetery chapel built in 1853, designed in a Classical style. It is constructed of ashlar stone and features a stone slate roof. The front has a Doric tetrastyle portico and a pediment, which continues as pilasters along the three-bay side walls. The central entrance is a round arched double doorway with an archivolt and keystone, above which is the incised date of 1853. There are niches on both sides of the doorway, and the side walls have round arched archivolted windows with continuous moulded sills and glazing bars. At the rear, there is a pedimented ashlar stack and a lean-to extension.
